Dahlia Day - Photo Workshops

$75.00 USD

Join Lori in her private, quaint, Victorian garden to photograph the beauty of Dahlias and other summer cut flowers.  With over 20 varieties of Dahlias, you will have lots to capture. 3 dates to choose from - August 27, September 3, and September 9.

Lori will give a practical demonstration in the garden, with hints and tips for capturing the best Dahlia images. Then participants can pop into the garden with their cameras. Lori will be available for hands-on support and feedback.

After time in the garden, participants can begin to capture beautiful still-life displays with flowers that will be available to shoot.

The garden is located in the beautiful valley of Middletown, Maryland, 10 miles from Frederick, MD ( an hour from DC or Baltimore). There is parking one block from the garden. The garden is in full sun, so please bring sunscreen, a sunhat, and bug spray. Lori will have umbrellas up around the garden and diffusers to help with photographing in the garden if the sun is out. The workshop is limited to paid participants; children or extra guests are not allowed due to space.

Tripods are not allowed in the garden - but can be used for the still-life displays on the patio.

Rain delays - if the event is canceled due to heavy rain, participants will be offered a make-up rain day or a refund.

This workshop is for all skill levels, but basic use of your camera is needed.
